Privacy policy
Short version: we keep as little as we can, we don't track you, and we never sell anything about you.

Who is responsible
Sims4Mods is responsible for the information described here. Contact: Sims4ModsContact@protonmail.com.
Visiting the site
- No analytics, no ads, no tracking pixels and no tracking cookies. Our fonts and images come from our own site.
- The site is hosted by Cloudflare, which handles your connection (including your IP address) to deliver and protect the site. We don't keep visitor logs.
If you become a supporter
We keep a small membership record:
- a fingerprint of your supporter key (a one-way scramble, so the key itself can't be read from it, even by us);
- the membership's status and dates, and Braintree's reference numbers for it;
- how you paid (card, PayPal or Google Pay), but never the card number;
- your email, only if you chose to give it.
We use your email only for receipts, membership messages and helping you if you lose your key. Never for marketing, and it's never sold or shared.
Payments
If you join on Gumroad, Gumroad handles the payment under its own privacy policy and shares the sale with us as the seller (including the email you gave Gumroad). Our site itself only keeps your tier and whether the membership is active; to check that, it asks Gumroad about your license key now and then. Your license key isn't stored on our server: only your own sign-in cookie, on your device, holds it.
Payments made on our site are handled by Braintree, a service of PayPal. Card details are typed into Braintree's secure boxes on our checkout page and go straight to Braintree; we never see or store them. Braintree keeps payment records as the law requires; see the Braintree privacy policy.
The checkout page (and only that page) loads code from Braintree, PayPal and Google so the card boxes and the PayPal and Google Pay buttons work. Like any website, those services can see your IP address and browser while you're on it. If you pay with PayPal or Google Pay, their own privacy policies apply too.
Cookies
One cookie, and only after you sign in or join: it keeps your device signed in to the supporter area for up to 30 days. It isn't used for tracking, which is why there's no cookie banner.
How long we keep it
Your membership record stays while your membership is active. After it ends, we keep it for up to 2 years so you can rejoin or ask about a past payment, unless you ask us to delete it sooner. Braintree keeps payment records for as long as the law requires.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete what we hold about you, or ask any privacy question, at Sims4ModsContact@protonmail.com. If you're not happy with our answer, you can contact your local privacy authority.
